Hundreds of Pro-Lifers to Rally at Oklahoma Capitol
Oklahoma City -
For the 21st year, hundreds of pro-life protesters are expected to rally at the state Capitol building in Oklahoma City to urge lawmakers to place stricter restrictions on abortion.
Called “Rose Day,” the event is sponsored by the Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, and participants will bring roses to their state senators and representatives to gain their support in introducing and supporting pro-life legislation.
Among the anti-abortion legislation
lawmakers are considering this year are bills that would grant
“personhood” status to a fertilized egg and require pregnant women to
listen to a heartbeat of the fetus before having an abortion, according to NewsOK.com
Gov. Mary Fallin is expected to address the group.
